What do most of the companies want from their company identities? That their animal logo ideas are memorable, right? But only a very few of the company icons manage to keep both the main ingredients of success in their design: ‘simplicity’ and ‘memorable’. Both of these qualities are important to the design, because usually a passer-by will just give a glimpse to the symbol, but only a very interesting and attractive icon will get a second or more glances.

I have noticed many business icons that have used jungle creatures in them. At first I was very confused with the scheme. How could a jungle creature relate to something as serious as a company or a business? But when I gave more intent thought to it, it hit me as a very good plan. I thought, why not? Even if you are not dealing directly in pets, or your business has nothing to do with them, you can use creatures in your business icon. For example, many wrestling companies or individuals represent themselves by fauna. Music bands use creatures that depict height and growth.

The use of creatures in the design can be a very innovative plan, only if real brain storming is applied. Because there are so many aspects involved. The creature being used should relate to either the business, or the nature of the business. Furthermore, the font should also compliment to the creature’s nature. If it is known to be ferocious, then the font should have a more serious and bold look, and vice versa.
